Canada bound: William Norris to leave the OAE

After ten and a half years at the OAE, William Norris, Communications and Creative Programming Director, is moving on to pastures new. Pastures quite far away, in fact. William will be taking over the running of Toronto’s Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra as Managing Director from late September 2015. We are both excited for William and tremendously sad that he will be leaving the OAE. During his time at the OAE he has developed new and exciting outlets for the orchestra’s artistic direction including The Night Shift, our student scheme Attitude and our recent collaboration with Shakespeare’s Globe at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, amongst many others.

The OAE would like to thank William for his enthusiasm and energy (and all the laughs) and wish him all the best for his new role in Canada which he takes up this autumn – so we still have him for a few more months. Tafelmusik, you’re in for a treat!

We’ll be issuing a full press release shortly but in the meantime you can read more over on Tafelmusik’s website.
